Luminous City & Second Sunday Family,
COVID-19 has changed the world we live in. In a rapidly changing world God has been bringing
churches together as means to unify the body of Christ to propel God’s heart for reconciliation forward.
For us it had never been about a logo or an ego but about playing a part in what God is doing in the
global church. In order to continue the work that we have started and create an even bigger impact here in Downtown San Diego, Second Sunday and Luminous City will be uniting. We know that by coming together we can do more to participate in God’s reconciling work on planet earth.
We encourage you to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider making this new community your church home. We believe that the challenge of newness and change is also the spark that God has historically
used to do great things. Join us in this expanding unity of diversity, and let’s see what beautiful things
God does in us and through us.
It has been our greatest honor to serve Downtown SD and each one of you. We love each and every one of you and believe that your best days are ahead.
With love,
Pastors Carlos & Jay

churches together to unify the body of Christ and propel His work of reconciliation forward. For us it has never been about a logo or an ego but about playing a part in what God is doing in the global church. After much prayer, and wisdom seeking it has seemed right to both church’s leadership and to the Spirit for us to unify in the work God is doing in Downtown SD and beyond.
